I haven’t had much to write about recently. Or it may be that I haven’t felt that anything has been interesting enough to blog about, which in many cases is probably more a mood thing than not actually having something say. But that’s my personality, I go through days of nothing being of interest, like a sulky teenager.

Silly but I’ve got about 8 podcast subscriptions in iTunes, and rarely do I load the app without it downloading something, and yet I didn’t even know what a typical podcast even sounds like until last week, because I hadn’t actually listened to a single one of them. This is endemic to my whole attitude to files and bandwidth, and why I never have any hard drive space left. Anyway, so I tried a few out the other day and one called IT Conversations is pretty interesting. But you’ll have to search for it because for some reason iTunes doesn’t let me copy the url to the clipboard. Grr. Basically they are recordings of lectures made by various techy people. In one some bird from cnet mentioned in passing vizu, a very strange service. You basically set up polls, most are of no virtue. I’m really not sure of the value of this site. But lets see what their copy/paste html code for blogs does. It uses an iFrame, i’m not a fan of iFrames.

My councillor gave me an audiobook to listen to about fighting fear. Sounds gay* but I guess I’d better listen, i’ll need to transfer it to the comp, and then the ipod first though. Which means sampling it and i’m not even sure i’ve got the right leads anymore. Ah well. Guess I’d better get on with it.

Oh heck what have i done now. I always thought that it would be quite nice to pretend to be a DJ and run a little internet radio station. Well that isn’t going to happen but just the sake of it I’ve put together a couple of the songs I’m listening to at the moment. I also thought it would be rather fun to mix them a little bit, nothing major, just blend them a little. Now, only a fool would attempt to do a mix from tracks of completely different genre’s, but i’ve never been known to turn down the opportunity of baring my foolishness.

The joins are downright painful, but hopefully somebody somewhere will appreciate being introduced to some neato music. Some is electronic, some indie, new wave, pop, downtempo, ya know, bit of anything ‘ll do, i wouldn’t even say no to jazz.

There’s a whole pirating issue here, but you know what, i’ve butchered these tracks so much that no one could possibly claim they’re an alternative to parting with the cash for the genuine articles.

Hopefully, if i continue to do these i’ll get a little bit better at it. Gosh, couldn’t possibly be any worse.
