Just a short one for today, i’m still getting back into the swing of things, not that I could ever have been called prolific. Still, i’m still finding my voice. Hell am i talking about? haha

Yesterday I went to see Alan Bennett’s “The History Boys” `at the lyceum. Due to an unforeseen clash of dates It was actually a toss up between seeing this play and gigging to Bloc Party in Leeds, being a lazy sod and not fancying the commuting to get to Leeds I chose Alan’s play and i’m so glad I did! i haven’t enjoyed the theatre this much in such a long time, if ever. I usually find them to plod on way too long and for so called comedy’s to be anything but. Being an alan bennett it was smart and full of wry observations, i’d forgotten after so many god awful Ferrelly inspired american “gross out” shite that intelligent comedy still exists. But then i guess you have to go to the stage to see it. Well I say this but ‘The History Boys’ is being committed to celluloid as I speak, due for next year according to imdb. Maybe I went mad for it because its partly a gay coming-of-age story, which wouldn’t be a first for me, I fall for them everytime. Anyway, look forward to this film and i hope they keep the french lesson in which the kids decide to roll-play a french brothel. Haha that’s not what it sounds, well it is. Ah fuck its hilarious. I love cute and funny.
